Meet John

A man with short dark hair, a mustache, and light skin, smiling outdoors in front of a lush green bush, wearing a navy blue polo shirt.

Co-Founder & Instructor

John is a career firefighter with over 12 years of front-line experience and more than a decade spent teaching first aid. As a co-founder of Foxhole First Aid, John brings a calm, approachable teaching style that helps students feel confident, capable, and genuinely engaged throughout their training.

John believes first aid education should be practical, hands-on, and easy to understand — not intimidating or overly technical. His classes focus on real-life application, ensuring students leave with skills they can actually use when it matters most. He creates a relaxed learning environment where questions are encouraged, confidence is built through practice, and learning is something people enjoy.

Growing up playing and coaching soccer in the Tri-Cities and now living in Coquitlam, John has strong roots in the local community. As a husband and father of two, he understands how important it is for everyday people — parents, coworkers, coaches, and teammates — to be prepared to step up in an emergency.

At Foxhole First Aid, John’s goal is simple: deliver clear, practical training that prepares people to act with confidence before help arrives.

Meet Isaiah

A smiling man with short curly hair wearing a navy blue polo shirt standing outdoors in front of green foliage.

Co-Founder & Instructor

Isaiah is a career firefighter with over 7 years of front-line experience and more than 4 years teaching first aid. As a co-founder of Foxhole First Aid, Isaiah brings real-world perspective into every class, focusing on scenario-based training that builds calm, practical confidence when it matters most.

Isaiah believes effective first aid education goes beyond certification. His teaching style emphasizes clarity, hands-on learning, and understanding the “why” behind each skill, helping students feel prepared to act in real emergencies. His classes are clear, relaxed, and focused on giving people the confidence to step in before professional help arrives.

Having grown up playing and coaching football and lacrosse in the Tri-Cities, and now living in Coquitlam, Isaiah has deep ties to the local community. Outside of teaching, he stays active training for endurance events and believes preparedness — both physical and mental — is key to performing under pressure.

At Foxhole First Aid, Isaiah’s goal is simple: provide practical, real-life training that empowers people to stay calm and take action when seconds count.
